Job Title: Machine Learning Expert

We are looking for a passionate Machine Learning Engineer to help build industry-leading AI/ML solutions.
You will be able to get your hands on all aspects of the AI /ML feature lifecycle by leveraging your expertise in computer vision, NLP, and document understanding.
You will build production-level machine learning models that deliver personalized and automated customer experiences throughout the DocuSign Agreement Platform.
You will work within Docusign AI teams to perform model development, deployment, testing, and evaluation of existing and emerging deep learning methods and technologies that can be effectively applied to the contract domain.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Docusign.
Responsibilities- Be knowledgeable in and apply the latest architectures and technologies to build Docusign IP and solve complex NLP challenges including generating representations, text understanding, semantic retrieval, contextual extractions, summarization
- Apply computer vision for document understanding tasks such as layout and object detection, image classification and tagging
- Develop an understanding of the technologies, methods, and architecture within Docusign product development
- Understand, assist, and improve the existing model training, evaluation, and online inference processes, define online metrics, and design user feedback for our AI / ML features
- Work closely with engineering partners to deploy models into production, build scalable AI systems, monitor and improve performance metrics
- Work closely with Product Management to translate user scenarios and product requirements into designs and plans for robust, customer-agnostic machine learning solutions
12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years related experience with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience
Experience in the research, development, fine-tuning, and deployment of large language models (e.g., GPT, Llama, etc.) in production environments
Understanding of LLM architectures, tokenization, attention mechanisms, prompt engineering, and
