Communication Specialist

A skilled Communication Specialist is sought to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across various settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose and treat adults and/or children presenting with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on evidence-based practice principles.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
- Provide education, support, and advice to patients, families, and carers.
- Contribute to service planning, audit, and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.
- Participate in clinical supervision, professional development, and peer support activities.
- Deliver training and education to healthcare colleagues and students where appropriate.
- A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with relevant regulatory bodies.
- Proven knowledge of current evidence-based practice in speech, language, and swallowing management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
