About the Role

This Maintenance Technician position is responsible for ensuring the physical infrastructure and operational efficiency of plant buildings. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe, comfortable, and functional environment for occupants.

The ideal candidate will have experience in routine building and equipment maintenance, as well as emergency repairs. They will also possess strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain regular inspections and minor repairs of building integrity.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Perform minor construction tasks, such as painting and carpentry.
  • Daily/weekly checks on building systems, HVAC, water treatment, vacuum, compressed air, cooling towers, and fire protection systems.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized support services.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies.
Requirements
  • 5+ years relevant work experience.
  • General building repair, plumbing, and carpentry skill-set.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles of plant equipment.
  • Strong planning and organizational ability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
