Our client, a leading food retailer, is seeking an Own Brand Product Technologist. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team developing food and non-food products across various categories.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure own-brand products meet agreed specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain full compliance with legislation and internal policies throughout product development.
  • Manage online product specifications for approval before launch.
  • Follow the stage gate process for efficient product development.
  • Conduct regular market benchmarking for product or process improvements.
  • Support suppliers and developers to implement sustainable packaging solutions.
  • Maintain close communication with the Quality department regarding supplier audits.

Requirements

  • Third-level degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in FMCG or food manufacturing in a transferable role.
  • Experience completing retailer specifications using computerised systems.
  • Knowledge of legal labelling and label approvals.
  • Strong project management, organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
