Project Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of our capital works programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a defined career path with great potential for progression.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client interests on capital major and minor works and maintenance programmes, providing expert advice in the resolution of issues where necessary.

A critical objective of this role is to optimize estate value and deliver best value for money.

  • Keeping project stakeholders informed of progress, cost, and any other relevant issues
  • Overseeing the tender and contractor/consultant appointment process
  • Chairing and minuting project review meetings
  • Ensuring all buildings, services, and equipment under control are adequately maintained in accordance with approved maintenance programmes
  • Ensuring smooth and timely flow of information between all parties to the contract
  • Identifying and predicting potential bottlenecks and delays and taking action remedies
  • Agreeing valuations and final accounts for contractors and consultants
  • Monitoring build and material quality
  • Ensuring contractor and consultancy contractual compliance
  • Assisting in the front-end design planning and procurement of other projects within our portfolio

Candidates must possess:

  • A Level 8 degree in Engineering or Construction-related field
  • A minimum of 5 years' engineering experience with a contractor or consulting engineers
  • Knowledge of current construction contracts and procurement methodologies
  • A proven track record of seeing projects through to their successful completion
  • A current driving license and vehicle

This is a rolling contract role initially, with excellent prospects of a permanent position and significant development potential.
