We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our global team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based systems.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will define and automate the creation of new projects and resources in Google Cloud, ensuring seamless integration and efficient deployment.
  • You will manage and tune the scaling and performance of environments and technology components like MySQL, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • You will further harden and secure environments by automating security testing and taking immediate action on any security alerts, protecting our systems from potential threats.
  • You will plan and execute upgrades on both system and application levels for environments, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A strong background in Linux server administration, with at least 3 years of experience in managing and maintaining complex systems.
  • Proven expertise in cloud computing platform administration, with at least 2 years of experience in deploying and managing cloud-based systems.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks, including bash, Python, and Ansible, with at least 2 years of experience in scripting and automating tasks.
  • Experience with Google Cloud platform is highly desirable, as well as knowledge of monitoring and tuning Elasticsearch, MongoDB, MySQL, and NGINX.
  • A focus on continuous learning and improvement, with a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
