Enterprise Risk Management Leader
About the RoleThis leadership position oversees the Enterprise Risk Management Function, meeting the needs of the business, regulators, rating agencies, and policyholders.
The role will be a key member of the TIDAC Board Risk Committee, TIDAC Management Committee, Deputy Chair of the ERC, and other forums to lead development of the risk management framework.
Key Responsibilities- Holds overall responsibility for the Enterprise Risk Management Function (PCF-14) to meet the needs of the business, regulators, rating agencies, and policyholders.
- Membership of the TIDAC Board Risk Committee, TIDAC Management Committee, Deputy Chair of the ERC and other forums as instructed to lead development of the risk management framework.
- Owns and maintains the TIDAC ORSA, TIDAC Recovery Plan, TIDAC Risk Book and other important risk documentation ensuring it meets requirements. Facilitates completion of thematic risk reviews as required in response to regulators and supervisors.
- Proactively identifies, manages and mitigates principal risks and ensures risk events are escalated and reported in line with requirements in the Risk Management Framework.
- Gains support for risk management through collaboration, sponsorship and challenge to ensure that risk tolerance/appetite is consistent with the Board's risk strategy and that this is cascaded to and business unit level. Monitors and reports performance of the business against risk appetite.
- Maintains current knowledge of regulatory requirements on all risk issues (financial and non-financial), advises the business on the effects of implementation and offers recommendations on optimising the business response.
- Leads/participates in external committees, representing at external forums in Ireland.
- Facilitates the TRVE Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process in including maintenance of the risk appetite dashboard and maintenance of Solvency II documentation.
- Manages the TIDAC Own Risk Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process.
- Manages capital analysis of Operational risk in conjunction with the Capital Management Team. Assists in development of risk modelling, validation techniques and inputs.
- Eases that regulatory expectations and requirements are satisfied with detailed knowledge of the Central Bank of Ireland's (CBI) requirements.
