**Job Title:** Financial Controller

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and ambitious finance professional to join our leadership team in a senior role.

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced financial controller to lead our finance department and play a key role in the company's growth objectives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial reports, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a recognised professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) and several years' post-qualification industrial experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial services setting. They will also have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong experience with accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership: Manage and develop the finance department to deliver consistently high performance and output.
• Reporting Excellence: Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely, and insightful management accounts, statutory accounts, and financial reports for senior stakeholders.
• Cash Flow Management: Support the Credit Manager to ensure strong cash collections and robust cash flow forecasting.
• Strategic Planning: Play a key role in the budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes, ensuring alignment with the company's growth objectives.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to all tax, audit, and statutory obligations, liaising with external auditors and advisors.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to financial systems, controls, and reporting to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Candidate Requirements:
• Recognised professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Several years' post-qualification industrial experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial services setting.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong experience with accounting systems.
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and present at senior and board level.
• Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment, tax compliance, and audit processes.
• A commercially aware finance professional who understands the bigger business picture.
