The role of Environmental Health Safety Specialist plays a vital part in maintaining the well-being of employees, contractors and the environment. A skilled specialist is required to provide guidance and support to project teams, ensuring EHS compliance across all activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise management, site teams and subcontractors on EH&S matters.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits and produce corrective action plans.
  • Prepare and update EH&S Plans, RAMS and KPI reports in line with legal requirements.
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes and recommend preventive actions.
  • Deliver training sessions as required.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar EHS role within the construction industry.
  • NFQ Level 8 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).
  • Additional Environmental Management qualification (NFQ Level 6 or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of Irish Construction Regulations and HSA requirements.
  • Safe Pass, First Aid and internal ISO auditor certifications (desirable).
  • Excellent communication, organisational and reporting skills.
  • Ability to travel to multiple project sites as required.
