Senior Dietitian

The Department of Nutrition & Dietetics at Waterford University Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Dietitian to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical nutrition services to patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Job Description:

The Senior Dietitian will provide specialist advice on nutrition and dietetics to patients, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders. This will include assessing patients' nutritional needs, developing and implementing individualized nutrition care plans, and monitoring patients' progress.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with experience in a similar setting. They will be registered with CORU and have a professional approach to work. In addition, they will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families and healthcare teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Recognised qualification as a Dietician with CORU registration.
  • Experience in a similar setting desirable.
  • Permission to work in Ireland.
  • Professional approach to work.
