Video Production Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced video producer to lead our regional video operation, setting strategic direction and overseeing end-to-end production.

  • This is an opportunity to shape original content that meets relevant audio-video KPIs, while collaborating with editors and other teams to drive audience growth and engagement.
  • The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing a video production team, with a strong track record of shaping video strategy and output that has resulted in significant audience growth and video views.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the development of the overall video plan for the region, working closely with editors and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  2. Oversee the entire video production process from planning to distribution, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to quality standards.
  3. Collaborate with journalists to ensure video is a core component of daily output, including joining conference calls to shape the news agenda.
  4. Accountable for delivering video KPIs, working closely with editors and other stakeholders to drive results.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in managing a video production team, with a strong track record of shaping video strategy and output.
  • Highly knowledgeable on the technical side of video creation from filming to editing.
  • Experience of working with Adobe Suite or similar video creation software.
  • Newsroom experience and an NCTJ/BTCJ qualification is preferred but not necessary.
  • Strong working knowledge of media law is essential.
