Clinical Physiotherapy Specialist
">Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join our specialist Pectus Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering advanced musculoskeletal and orthopaedic care, driving service development, and contributing to clinical leadership in a patient-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver effective physiotherapy services based on patient needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new developments, technology, and best practice in physiotherapy.
- Contribute to clinical audits, research, and ongoing professional development.
Service Development & Leadership:
- Actively contribute to the management and development of the physiotherapy service.
- Participate in education and training programs.
- Regularly review and update service policies and standards of practice.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead by example in professionalism and teamwork.
- Promote ongoing learning and professional development within the team.
- Provide intra-disciplinary education to promote physiotherapy services.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- Degree in Physiotherapy.
- Registration with CORU is essential.
- Membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists is desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in Orthopaedic or Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
- Postgraduate qualification in Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal practice, or related specialism is desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
- Expert clinical knowledge and reasoning in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy.
- Strong ability to deliver patient-centred care within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience in policy development and research.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (Strength & Conditioning training).
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to balance clinical and management responsibilities.

- Strong commitment to patient care, quality, and professional standards.
- Demonstrates initiative, innovation, and forward-thinking in clinical practice.
