Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist

This is a permanent, full-time role within the physiotherapy department at our hospital.

Job Description:
  • Develop and deliver specialist physiotherapy services for new mothers, focusing on accessibility, patient choice, communication, cultural sensitivity, and participation.
  • Establish and monitor the physiotherapy component of the North Dublin Postnatal hub, providing high-quality care to patients seen in both the hub and the Rotunda Hospital.
  • Provide expert clinical services to the Women's Health and Continence service, ensuring adherence to high standards of physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and management.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Physiotherapy Manager, MDT, and NWIHP to establish the North Dublin Postnatal Hub.
  • Work with Obstetrics Consultants and relevant healthcare professionals to manage physiotherapy referrals, streamline the waiting list, and improve the patient pathway to the postnatal hub.
  • Develop connections with clinics run by relevant Consultant or Specialist Registrar, such as perineal clinic, complex pelvic floor clinic, mental health trauma clinic, postnatal midwifery service.

Key Requirements:
- Hold a recognised physiotherapy qualification and be registered on the CORU register (proof required).
- Ability to utilise data management software; experience delivering services via virtual platforms; active participation in professional bodies relevant to this position.
