This role will involve providing strategic advice and supporting business partners in delivering financial commitments. Key activities include:

  • Completing monthly financial close and reporting for the Biotech Operations team
  • Developing annual financial business plans
Main Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Financial Business Partner/Analysis
    • First point of contact for business area financial queries
    • Influence and support business partners to deliver on financial commitments
    • Prepare financial business cases and analysis as required to support decision making
    • Represent finance in business area governance meetings
  • Financial Planning and Reporting
    • Own the financial close, ensuring results are accurately stated at monthly (and quarterly/year-end) close
    • Prepare monthly account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts
    • Prepare monthly metrics pack for business area/site, analysing results vs plan and highlighting trends and forecasting projected future variances to support decision making
    • Deliver the annual Business Plan, Strategic plan and quarterly forecasts with leadership
  • Compliance
    • Understand and follow all compliance policies, laws, regulations
    • Maintain a high quality of work that is efficient and effective, always maintaining a right first time approach
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Qualified Accountant ACA/CIMA/CPA/ACCA with 2+ years PQE in a Manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical/analytical skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • A positive solutions-focused mind-set
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
