  • The key responsibilities of this position include ensuring that safety practices and procedures align with relevant legislation and standards.">
  • Conducting regular site audits, inspections, and observations to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety management systems.">
  • Ensuring accurate records are kept up-to-date for statutory inspections, plant equipment, and activities.">
  • Liaising with site supervision to address shortfalls, recommend improvements, and report back to the EHS manager.">
  • Investigating incidents and accidents, capturing information in the HSMS, and identifying corrective actions.">
  • Aiding in site inspection visits as required by the Health & Safety Authority.">
  • Developing and delivering health and safety induction programs for new employees and contractors.">
  • Managing personal protection equipment, recommending necessary items, and serving as a representative at H&S related meetings.">
  • Organizing and chairing safety meetings for contractor and sub-contractor personnel, reviewing safety statements, method statements, and RAMS.">
  • Compiling, updating, and communicating emergency plans and conducting site safety equipment inspections.">
  • Collecting and collating relevant information for the safety file and preparing for handover to the client.">
  • Liaising with management on training requirements and facilitating toolbox talks.">
  • Supporting ISO audit compliance and H&S assistance when required.">
  • Liaising with main contractors and site safety teams.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.">
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.">
  • Strong knowledge of safety legislation, standards, and best practices.">
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.">
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.">
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.">
