Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the engineering department, you will collaborate with senior engineers to deliver innovative projects in the fast-paced data center sector.

About the Job:

  • Provide technical design support to senior engineers within the engineering department with a focus on mechanical design engineering.
  • Take a leading role in project execution and coach, mentor, and lead project teams to success.
  • Identify training opportunities and develop material for implementation.
  • Communicate and interact with external clients.
  • Component selection and design of custom air handling equipment and modular data centers.
  • Design development and value engineering assistance of data centers and modular data centers.
  • Selection of fans, coils, and other equipment components associated with air handling equipment.
  • Costing of units and components.
  • Production of equipment drawings and submittal packages.
  • Interact with production; perform periodic inspections of units under construction.
  • Participate in continuous product improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Ten or more years of experience in mechanical design engineering, including HVAC design.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and drafting standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
