Key Responsibilities
  • To effectively control the commercial, managerial and technical aspects of projects or parts for which you are responsible.
  • To source opportunities and prepare fee proposals for submission to clients, including resources and programme.
  • To lead a team of engineers and technicians designing building infrastructure schemes.
Requirements
  • An excellent knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques, procedures and structural principles.
  • To undertake structural engineering projects, performing analyses and calculations as appropriate.
  • To supervise work, ensuring that it is carried out to the appropriate technical standard and that it is managed to programme and budget.
  • To deliver design solutions and assessment calculations, lead teams, and successfully manage projects.
  • A solid track record of having worked on various structures projects, possibly as project leader on some, with experience of dealing directly with clients.
Preferred Qualifications
  • An excellent knowledge of design in Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steelwork.
  • A working knowledge of the current Eurocodes and specifically Eurocode 2 & Eurocode 3.
  • A working knowledge of Structural Analysis Software, SCIA, TEKLA or similar software.
  • Experience in the assessment of existing structures and their justification, as well as new build designs.
  • The ability to effectively communicate your message to the team, senior management and represent us professionally to clients and external bodies.
