Job Title: Innovation Specialist for Future Power Systems

We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our team as an Innovation Specialist for Future Power Systems.


The Chief Digital and Information Office (CDIO) is responsible for visioning and planning the power system and market of the future. We are looking for individuals with a PhD and experience in areas such as power system modelling and analysis, design and development of operational systems, energy economics and policy, market design, and development and integration of new technologies.

As an Innovation Specialist, you will play a key role in driving technical and process innovation across our organisation. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that meet our climate change targets and decarbonise the electricity system.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Experience in power system modelling and analysis using software such as PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, and Plexos
  • Design and development of operational systems, tools, system services, standards and operational policies
  • Energy economics and policy expertise
  • Market design knowledge
  • Development and integration of new technologies and innovations
