Job Title

Our organization is seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Data Protection Officer. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with global data protection laws and regulations, safeguarding personal data, and maintaining trust with clients and employees.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with GDPR, AI Act, and other applicable frameworks.
  • Support the handling of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), requests for rectification, erasure, and other data subject rights inquiries.
  • Conduct and support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs) for projects and new initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of processing activities (ROPA) through data inventories and mapping of data flows.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training and awareness programs to strengthen data protection culture across the business.
  • Support the Data Protection Manager in managing data breaches and security incidents, including documentation and reporting to authorities where required.
  • Collaborate with IT, HR, Compliance, and other teams to embed data protection into operational practices and new projects.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a data protection, privacy, compliance, or governance role.
  • Strong understanding of global data protection regulations, including GDPR.
  • Familiarity with technology and IT security principles.
  • Experience supporting multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong drafting ability with experience preparing guidance, policies, or business communications.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT are highly desirable.
