Staff Production Planner Job Description

This position offers a unique opportunity to play a critical role in production planning and operations management for a leading global supply chain team.

The successful candidate will have a front-row seat to life-changing continuous glucose monitoring technology and will be responsible for creating and managing the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to align production output with forecasted demand, capacity, and resource availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Master Production Schedule Development: Develop and maintain the MPS to ensure optimal production output and alignment with business objectives.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Lead initiatives in product lifecycle and SKU configuration management to ensure alignment with corporate goals for cost-saving, excess and obsolete inventory mitigation, and operational efficiency.
  • Scenario Planning: Drive scenario planning for evolving business needs, focusing on End-of-Life planning given customer, market, and supply priorities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Act as a strategic liaison among Sales Operations, Master Data Management (MDM), Program Management Office (PMO), Manufacturing, and corporate planning teams to align schedules with market demands and organizational goals.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8-12 years of related experience, preferably in global supply planning and forecasting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Copilot, Outlook, Teams, Smartsheets, ERP/MRP systems, and knowledge of configuration management, demand & supply planning, and contract manufacturing.
