About the Role

You are invited to take on a pivotal position in our consultancy, where you will play a leading part in shaping sustainable marine development across Ireland's seas and coasts.

This challenging role involves the delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments, Appropriate Assessments, and other applications for projects in offshore energy, ports, and harbors, aquaculture, and coastal developments.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for technical report writing, review, and advice to clients. You will work closely with regulators, engineers, stakeholders, and project partners to ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Apart from technical expertise, you will contribute to tendering, proposals, and budget management, helping to secure and deliver projects that support sustainable marine development.

You will also play a vital role in mentoring and supporting junior colleagues, helping to grow skills and capacity within our consultancy team.

To succeed in this role, you will have a degree in marine science or a related discipline, minimum 12 months experience working in an environmental consultancy, and strong technical report writing skills.

Good knowledge of Irish and EU wildlife and planning legislation, excellent organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential.

Strong communication skills for client and stakeholder engagement are crucial, as well as GIS experience and commercial awareness.

A Master's/PhD in a relevant field, project management experience, and professional membership are desirable but not essential.
