Job Opportunity: Phlebotomy Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Phlebotomy Professional to provide exceptional care to our patients in the Phlebotomy service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in phlebotomy and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To deliver a child-centered phlebotomy service, prioritizing patient comfort and well-being.
  • To perform blood draws and collect venous and capillary blood samples from children and young people with precision and accuracy.
  • To maintain high standards of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with patients and colleagues.
  • To assist in developing, implementing, and applying best practices in phlebotomy, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • To adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures, minimizing risks and ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Registration on the General and/or Paediatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland is mandatory.
  • Acute paediatric experience and recent phlebotomy experience are essential for this role.
