About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced chef to lead our kitchen team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and serve high-quality, nutritious meals that meet patient dietary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve healthy meals for patients and staff.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, hygiene, and consistency.
  • Mentor and guide kitchen staff to foster teamwork and professional growth.
  • Implement and maintain food safety protocols and procedures.
  • Manage inventory, storage, labeling, and waste control.
  • Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare teams to plan menus and adapt meals as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification (QQI Level 6).
  • Proven experience in hospital kitchens, healthcare catering, or high-volume catering.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and cook-chill procedures.
  • Right to work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance.
  • Five years of work references.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends.
