Experience an exciting opportunity to enhance your career as a professional concierge. We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team at The Merrion, one of Dublin's finest luxury hotels.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in planning and executing daily operations, ensuring that all guests receive the highest level of service before, during, and after their stay. Key responsibilities include warmly welcoming and acknowledging all guests, anticipating their needs, and delivering exceptional 5-star service.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Assisting guests with luggage, directions, transport arrangements, and local recommendations
  • Managing guest cars in accordance with procedures and ensuring the safe handling of belongings
  • Maintaining thorough knowledge of hotel services and local amenities to assist with reservations for taxis, restaurants, theatres, flights, and events
  • Handling guest correspondence and enquiries (telephone, email, in person) with professionalism and efficiency

Additionally, you will ensure smooth communication with colleagues and management, attend briefings and training sessions, uphold high standards of service, policies, and security responsibilities at all times, and support with night porter duties when required.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with previous experience in a luxury hotel or concierge role. You should have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, as well as a polished appearance and a genuine passion for providing exceptional guest service. Knowledge of Dublin's cultural, dining, and leisure scene is highly desirable.

A valid driver's license is required for guest car parking, and you must be flexible to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Our hotel, located opposite Government Buildings in the heart of the city centre, was created from four Georgian Townhouses and offers 142 bedroom and suites arranged around two 18th Century style gardens.
