We are seeking a seasoned project professional to oversee the planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and risk management for major infrastructure programs in Ireland. This role is ideal for an experienced individual who can effectively lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure successful project delivery.

Job Description:

The Project Controls Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, ensuring alignment with the project's overall milestones and deliverables. This includes implementing cost management systems to track budgets, forecasts, and expenditures, and establishing and managing earned value management (EVM) processes to monitor and report project performance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, ensuring alignment with the project's overall milestones and deliverables.
  • Cost Management: Implement cost management systems to track budgets, forecasts, and expenditures, ensuring cost control processes are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Management: Establish and manage earned value management (EVM) processes to monitor and report project performance, including schedule and cost variances.
  • Change Control: Manage the change control process under NEC4 guidelines, ensuring all changes are properly evaluated, tracked, and integrated into project schedules and budgets.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred)
  • A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in project controls, planning, or scheduling within the railway sector
  • Proficiency in project controls software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience in earned value management (EVM) and risk analysis
  • Familiarity with railway infrastructure standards and local compliance requirements
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary and international teams
