Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned data scientist to join our team and drive the development of new analytic products. As a key member of our Data Science team, you will work closely with other data scientists and subject matter experts to conduct and manage outcomes of various analytic studies.

Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing complex data, creating solutions, and building production-ready models. You will be empowered to take research whitepapers to production and leverage your expertise in AI/ML and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch to develop innovative solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with local analytic leadership in Ireland as part of the broader Optum Ireland ecosystem. You will also be working in partnership with US-based AI/ML experts to build strong relationships and contribute to the design and realization of analytical based tools/assets to identify and monitor non-standard claim patterns.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in deep learning, AI or Machine Learning in a principal level or technical leadership role
  • Proficiency in AI/ML and deep learning frameworks such us PyTorch
  • Knowledge of deep learning architectures
