Compliance Specialist

Job Description:

  • Ensure the organization has effective regulatory controls in place to maintain compliance with conduct obligations.
  • Develop and implement an annual risk-based compliance assessment and monitoring plan for the organization.
  • Provide timely and accurate regulatory reporting to relevant authorities on behalf of the organization.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive compliance training programs for employees.
  • Identify and mitigate conflicts of interest, and regularly review their impact.

AML / Financial Crime:

  • Oversee and produce reports on the organization's Anti-Money Laundering Policy and supporting procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Review and sign off anti-money laundering / PEP and Sanctions checks on clients and other entities where applicable.
  • Conduct annual risk assessments of money laundering risk.
  • Deliver adequate money laundering, PEP, and Sanction training to employees, including annual reviews of training materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of the European financial services and regulatory framework, specifically MiFID II, AML/CJA, and CBI Regulations.
  • 5-10 years' experience working at a senior level within a regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of operational processes of MiFID or fund administrator firms.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and influencing skills.
  • Presentation skills and training/coaching experience.
