Key Responsibilities

The Shift Manager plays a vital role in achieving business targets and meeting customer expectations. This role ensures adherence to safety, food quality, and environmental standards.

  1. Promote a culture of safety and monitor adherence to EHS procedures.
  2. Effectively lead a team to meet production output targets, conduct workgroup meetings, and coordinate maintenance team activities.
  3. Monitor shift performance and drive the team to achieve KPIs.
  4. Collaborate with planning to ensure plan fulfillment, throughput, efficiency, quality, cost, and OEE delivery.
  5. Manage colleague performance, develop communication measures, maintain training records, and ensure team competence.
  6. Ensure product quality compliance with RFT, hygiene, incident reporting, change control, and technical standards.
  7. Support audits and customer visits as required and implement actions arising from these events.
  8. Complete Oracle system requirements for accurate financial data.
  9. Support continuous improvement initiatives using established tools and techniques to root cause issues and drive improvements.
Requirements
  • Exceptional technical skills with a proven ability to understand complex processes.
  • Strong results orientation with a focus on prioritizing and organizing work to deliver against production targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong sense of personal responsibility.
  • Proven ability to effectively use core CI tools and techniques.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a track record of positively responding to changing work demands.
  • Third-level qualification in a relevant discipline (Food Science, Technology, Engineering).
  • Previous relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proven record in maintaining safe work environments.
  • Passion to apply key continuous improvement principles in a fast-paced environment.
