Shift Manager Opportunity

Cork city, Ireland is home to a leading FMCG Multinational that is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to join their team.

This role offers a challenging and rewarding career opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills and experience in managing production teams.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the team to achieve targets and KPIs, setting weekly targets and objectives, ensuring product quality and integrity, maintaining high standards of good manufacturing practice, controlling costs, and ensuring safe working practices.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team to achieve targets and KPIs.
  • Set weekly targets and objectives for the shift team.
  • Ensure the highest standards of product quality, integrity and hygiene.
  • Maintain excellent standards of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Housekeeping Practice.
  • Monitor and control costs.
  • Safe working practices of the team, contractors and visitors.
  • Ensure team are trained, ensure quality, safe procedures/process.
  • Maintain and nurture positive working relationships and ensure effective communication at all levels.
  • Ensure all work areas and equipment within your control are regularly and properly maintained to deliver optimum performance.
  • Maximise employee contribution and drive improvements in product quality and process/system efficiencies.
  • Liaise with QA & QC, logistics, technical and maintenance teams to achieve optimum results.
  • Interface with HR in relation to employee performance/development.
Requirements
  • The successful candidate will have 2+ years' experience in a management/supervisory role in the manufacturing industry.
  • A third-level qualification in a related field is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Suite is required.
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are essential.
Experience
  • Experience in managing production teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
