
Principal Pole Installation Coordinator

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the installation and removal of poles, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing proactive support to crew members and ensuring clear instructions are given;
- Supervising the installation and removal of poles, including dressing new poles;
- Conducting daily risk assessments;
- Recording plant and equipment checks;
- Collaborating with overhead lines crews to maintain a safe working site;
- Ensuring all tasks are completed in an efficient and diligent manner;
- Adhering to company policies and procedures;
- Reporting incidents and near misses according to company protocols;
- Completing relevant site documentation and communicating it to all personnel on site;
- Performing work in accordance with company and client health and safety rules, MESC's, codes of practice, method statements, and HSA regulations;
- Participating in pre-work safety risk assessments and job site safety plans;
- Ensuring proper care of tools, equipment, PPE, and vehicles supplied by the company and reporting any defects;
- Ensuring all work meets company and client quality, procedural, and technical requirements;
- Reporting challenges and safety issues to the PICW/Supervisor;
- Participating in training, team briefings, and tool box talks;
- Full Driving Licence and willingness to travel and work at various customer sites;
- Excellent communication and time management skills;
- Previous experience in the construction and/or energy sector preferred;
- Must understand and speak the English language;
- Reliable and flexible with the ability to use own initiative;
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the task at hand;
- Knowledge of Safe Systems of Work;
- Experience of construction essential;
- Manual Handling and Safe Pass certification;
- Relevant CSCS certifications (LUGS, SLG, etc);
