Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned communications professional to lead the development and execution of operations communications strategies that promote a culture of quality, safety, compliance, and customer service across global operations.

This individual will help drive strategic communications initiatives that inspire, connect, and reinforce the critical role of operations in business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Operational Communications Strategies: Develop and execute communication plans that promote a culture of quality, safety, compliance, and customer service across global operations.
  • Develop Executive & Leader Communications: Develop and execute communications plans for senior leaders to drive engagement, visibility, and connection with colleagues.
  • Equip Leaders with Communication Tools: Provide leaders with messaging and tools to foster alignment and engagement.
  • Enhance Employee Engagement & Communication Effectiveness: Lead the development of an operations communications council bringing together key communicators to drive employee engagement and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead Change & Organizational Communications: Provide strategic counsel and develop communications to support organizational announcements and changes impacting operations.
  • Prepare for and Manage Issues: Proactively prepare for known issues to mitigate impact and refine issues management response strategy.
  • Provide Prompt and Appropriate Internal/External Communications Support: Work with operations leaders and corporate communications teams to provide timely and effective internal and external communications support.
  • Support External Communications: Assist with background information for media inquiries.
  • Stay Informed and Share Industry Insights: Stay informed of manufacturing and supply chain industry news and share relevant insights with corporate communications leadership.
  • Measure Impact & Drive Continuous Improvement: Use metrics and analytics to assess communications effectiveness and apply insights to improve efforts.
  • Collaborate Globally: Serve as a collaborative partner with corporate communications, quality, and operations teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications

A bachelor's or master's degree in communication or related discipline is preferred. Extensive experience within a pharmaceutical organization is also preferred.

The ideal candidate will have proven ability to lead communications around sensitive operational matters, strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, and innovative communication techniques.
