Specialist Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

The Specialist Nurse Practitioner role is a critical component of the Cheeverstown multidisciplinary team, providing expert nursing care to individuals with dual diagnoses of intellectual disability and mental health conditions.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing comprehensive assessments and evaluations to inform care decisions.
  • Developing and implementing individualised care plans that address the unique needs of each person.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.


Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:
  • A recognised nursing qualification, such as an RNID or RPN.
  • At least three years' post-registration experience, with a strong focus on MHID care.
  • Formal post-registration education in mental health, positive behaviour support, or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
