Job Overview

">Mechanical Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues with mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and other equipment.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure safe and quality work practices.
  • Perform testing and servicing of operational equipment, recording results in a computer-based system.
  • Carry out inspections and servicing of mechanical equipment, providing reports and recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Provide training and mentorship to apprentices and other team members as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical systems.
  • Experience working in water treatment, wastewater treatment, and process plants.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps and motors.
  • Trade qualification in a relevant field.
  • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to travel between sites.
  • Current and valid permission to work in Ireland (for non-EU/EEA nationals).
