Cad Design Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cad Design Manager to oversee the entire design process of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing design teams, programming work schedules, creating solution-based ethoses, and leading teams in producing specifications and drawings for production.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the outputs of the design team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality designs.
  • Programme the work of the design team to meet commercial requirements, ensuring that deadlines are met and budgets are managed effectively.
  • Create a solution-based ethos within the design team, promoting innovation and collaboration.
  • Work with the commercial manager to prepare proposals for potential clients, highlighting the benefits of our design services.
  • Lead the design team in producing specifications and drawings for production, ensuring that all necessary information is included.
  • Product development to meet client requirements, ensuring that designs are tailored to meet specific needs.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Leading the design team and ensuring outputs are met to the highest standards.
    • Preparing tendering proposals with the commercial manager, showcasing the strengths of our design team.
    • Preparing architectural drawings for production and handover to the client, ensuring that all necessary details are included.
    • Decision-making on product specification, ensuring that designs meet client requirements and company standards.
    • Ensuring compliance with certification and building regulations, maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
    • Responsible for continuous improvement of the design team and technologies used, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing design teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience in product development and design, with a focus on meeting client requirements.
  • Knowledge of certification and building regulations, with experience in ensuring compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, with relevant industry experience.
