Job Description:

We are seeking a Transformation Leader to spearhead our Agile Delivery transformation, bridging product teams and technical squads to deliver outstanding software solutions.

The successful candidate will oversee one or more Pods and be responsible for their delivery of working software through to production.

Our scaled Agile Delivery Methodology is transforming our IT teams in cohorts of Pods and Squads. If a Squad is defined as the smallest number of people required to deliver product functionality to market, then a Pod is the smallest number of Squads required to deliver a complex product or collection of integrated products to market. Pods exist to create Products and services that deliver on business focused Missions.

  • Lead the developmentin a portfolio of products, fostering collaboration and breaking down silos to deliver value creation, growth and serving customers.
  • Navigate Complexity:Thrive in our complex technological landscape, managing a diverse portfolio of revenue-generating applications while adhering to stringent security and legislative requirements.
  • Lead the Charge:Own and drive our Agile Transformation plan, ensuring we track and realize its benefits while fostering a culture of agility across our Engineering Teams.
  • Empower Teams:Be the go-to point of contact for our Agile teams, guiding them through challenges and collaborating with key stakeholders across the business and organisation.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement:Ensure all teams embrace a culture of Continuous Improvement, delivering on their commitments and enhancing our agile mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run the software delivery Pod ensuring there are smooth and efficient processes for getting software through from requirements to working in production.
  • Focus on value creation, growth and serving customers.
  • Responsible for ensuring your pod is resourced with skilled individuals working with internal and external resource provider teams.
  • Responsible for aligning with the strategic target organisation and operating model for Agile delivery, in particular the QE transformation and the shift towards the implementation of T-Shaped Engineering practices.
  • Ensure our Agile governance and ceremonies are in place and effective.
  • Own the Continuous Improvement backlog for the Pod. This is the key mechanism by which we deliver improvements for the following; time to market, efficiency and quality.
  • You will provide coaching and support to your pod and be responsible for line management of squad leaders.
  • Manage the integration of AI solutions into existing products and new developments, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and enhancing overall product functionality.
