Job Title:
NPD Food Technologist - Innovation Specialist

About the Role:
The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team to develop innovative products and improve existing product lines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new product ideas to meet business objectives and customer needs.
- Create product samples by following recipes and formulations.
- Conduct recipe development and reformulation to achieve desired outcomes.
- Determine costs for ingredients, packaging, labor, and distribution for new products.
- Source high-quality and cost-effective ingredients and collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct nutritional testing to ensure products meet retailer policies and nutritional claims.
- Develop cooking instructions for new products to ensure food safety and quality.

Requirements:
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant food science subject.
- Level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene or ability to complete it within a specified timeframe.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Excel and Word.
- Proven experience in new product development from ideation to launch (preferably 1-3 years).
- Good understanding of food manufacturing technologies, R&D, and industry guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
