Operations Manager Position

We are seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to lead our daily production, packing, and cleaning operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety systems, including BRC and HACCP, and experience in supervising and coordinating teams to meet daily output and quality targets.

  • Supervise and coordinate production, packing, and hygiene teams to achieve optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Lead the food processing line, ensuring all products are packed, labelled, and processed according to customer standards.
  • Manage shift schedules and team rotas to align with production requirements, promoting flexibility and staff development.
  • Act as a point of escalation for day-to-day production challenges, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
  • Support training and upskilling of operators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records through production IT systems, ensuring compliance with traceability regulations.
  • Uphold and promote food safety, quality, and health & safety standards across the facility.
  • Drive improvements in sustainability, efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives, contributing to a positive environmental impact.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or team leadership role in a food manufacturing facility.
  • Strong understanding of food safety systems (e.g. BRC, HACCP).
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Comfortable with production planning, basic reporting, and using factory IT systems.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
