Job Overview

This role is centered around leading the production team, ensuring product quality and integrity, and driving process improvements. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the shift team to achieve key business objectives.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of product quality, integrity, and hygiene.
  • Maintaining excellent standards of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Housekeeping Practice.
  • Monitoring and controlling costs.
  • Ensuring safe working practices and conduct among team members, contractors, and visitors.
  • Developing a positive work environment through effective communication at all levels.
  • Maintaining equipment and facilities within their control to ensure optimal performance.
  • Driving employee contribution and enhancing process efficiencies.
  • Collaborating with QA, QC, logistics, technical, and maintenance teams.
  • Supporting HR in employee performance and development.

As a Shift Manager, you will cover for the Production Manager when absent and contribute to the overall departmental goals in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation, and Environment. You will also drive correct usage, maintenance, and development of all production systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a management or supervisory role in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Third-level qualification in a related field is desirable.
  • SAP/MES/Scada experience is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are essential.
