Job Role:

Environmental Sustainability Specialist

As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring environmental compliance across the site.

  • You will own and oversee environmental compliance across the site, ensuring all activities align with current legislation.
  • Carry out internal audits, site inspections, and environmental sampling to ensure best practice and readiness for regulatory inspections.
  • Maintain and evolve the Environmental Management System (EMS), including SOPs and risk assessments tied to waste operations.

  • Work directly with regulatory bodies, representing with professionalism and confidence.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, new legislation, and technological advancements in environmental compliance.

Requirements:

  • Experience in environmental compliance, environmental science, waste management, or a related regulatory field.
  • Proven understanding of Irish environmental legislation and EPA licensing.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 14001) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - with confidence dealing with regulators and internal stakeholders alike.
