Job Opportunity:

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in the success of our large-scale design & build infrastructure project in Dublin. This position requires close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and clients to maintain high standards and foster productive relationships.

About the Role:
  • Oversee and manage all project costs to ensure that projects are completed within allocated resources.
  • Prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for our projects.
  • Manage NEC contracts, including interpreting contract clauses, managing early warnings, and assessing compensation events.
  • Analyse and assess variations, manage claims in compliance with NEC guidelines, and ensure timely resolution of any contract issues.
  • Conduct cost analysis and risk management for ongoing projects.
  • Oversee procurement processes, negotiate with subcontractors, and manage subcontractor performance.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on project financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of contract documents and manage contract variations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
  • Proven experience with NEC contracts is essential.
  • Proficient in the use of COINS, Primavera P6, MS Project software and MS Office suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
