The Cork-based position offers the successful candidate the chance to become part of an established and dynamic company, with opportunities to expand their expertise and broaden their professional experience.
The role provides exposure to a diverse range of projects, including national road schemes, greenway and active travel as well as major highways design and build schemes.
This is a key step towards a future Director-level position and requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication and organisational abilities, and a proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead design teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Manage a portfolio of projects, including client relationships and communications.
- Mentor and manage junior Project Managers in the Highways and Active Travel Sector.
- Supervise and guide team members in the Highways and Active Travel Sector.
- Plan and oversee design work with Engineering Discipline Leads and Technicians.
- Prepare technical reports and tender documentation.
- Coordinate with project and wider infrastructure team members.
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance procedures and management systems.
- A degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, with Chartered Engineer status.
- A minimum of 15 years post-graduate experience in highways, greenway and active travel schemes delivery.
- Experience in design and build projects delivery is desirable.
- Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong experience in client liaison, external stakeholders and sub-consultants.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage project budgets.
- Energetic and self-motivated professional with excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
- Capable of working independently and efficiently under minimal supervision.
