Electrical Design Expert Wanted

My company is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to undertake design work and technical project coordination in a Dublin office.

The successful candidate will be part of a busy team providing electrical building services, project management, and construction supervision across various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and optimize design concepts for complex electrical projects.
  • Develop electrical building services designs/specifications from customer briefs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies on new electrical system designs.
  • Lead and participate in design review meetings with cross-functional teams.
  • Generate designs in accordance with current codes, guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with other members of the design team to develop cost estimates and tender documents.
  • Direct junior staff in undertaking their roles and responsibilities.
  • Undertake site inspections and prepare detailed reports on findings.
  • Generate production information and develop full product design documentation.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on electrical design solutions.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Carry out work efficiently and effectively.
  • Liaise with all project stakeholders in a professional and collaborative manner.
Requirements
  • Level 7/8 Degree with relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical building services design principles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • Good understanding of electrical design software and tools.
  • Practical experience in Building Services Engineering Design in industrial/pharmaceutical environments.
  • Experience in controls, automation, or instrumentation design would be advantageous.
  • Must have experience working in the Irish market.
  • Motivated and capable of directing junior staff.
  • Take responsibility for delivering high-quality electrical designs.
