Job Role: Search Quality Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Search Quality Specialist. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to ensure the quality of search results on our platform.

In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze and address trends in user behavior, product performance, and other key metrics that impact search quality.

Your expertise in data analysis, problem-solving, and communication will be essential in driving progress, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

We value your experience in working with large datasets, identifying patterns, and developing countermeasures to prevent abuse and enhance platform security.

As a Search Quality Specialist, you will contribute to the development and enforcement of spam guidelines, partner with engineering teams to enhance search ranking algorithms, and build relationships with Search engineers to protect users and prevent manipulative behavior.

You will also have opportunities to investigate and analyze complex issues, develop prompt-based AI raters, and design sampling approaches to improve search quality and user trust.

  • Develop domain knowledge in search infrastructure, ranking signals, and products
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that may indicate abuse or quality issues within search

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data
  • Experience working with large datasets, data visualization tools, and statistical analysis software
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with using Python for data analysis and visualization
  • Experience in prompt engineering and applying Large Language Models for data labeling
  • Experience working on product analysis and identifying user harm risks
