Job Overview

Maintenance professionals ensure the efficient operation of equipment and facilities. This role is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities, ensuring that hatchery equipment operates safely and effectively.

This position requires strong organizational skills, basic math skills, and the ability to supervise maintenance personnel. Additionally, candidates must be able to manage parts inventory cost-effectively and maintain a clean DMV record.

Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and direct all maintenance activities, ensuring hatchery equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  2. Maintain and monitor a parts inventory within budget constraints.
  3. Perform general maintenance of equipment and buildings.
  4. Order and receive parts, maintaining inventory accuracy.
  5. Conduct plant safety audits.
  6. Coordinate and adhere to preventative maintenance programs.
  7. Complete special projects as assigned.
  8. Perform electrical troubleshooting, A/C, and electronics repairs.
  9. Provide hatchery relief labor during emergencies.
Qualifications

Candidates must have 4-6 years of hatchery experience and possess excellent organizational skills. They should also have basic math skills, good electrical knowledge, and welding skills. Additionally, they must be able to lift 100 pounds and have training in pallet jack and forklift operation.

Respirator training is also required. The ideal candidate will have a clean DMV record and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
