We are currently seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Redchair Recruitment. As a key member of our infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for the design, planning, and delivery of road construction and upgrade projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Planning: Develop detailed engineering plans and specifications for road construction projects, considering factors such as traffic flow, environmental impact, and safety standards.
- Project Management: Coordinate and manage road construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Site Inspections: Conduct on-site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with engineering standards and specifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, surveyors, and other stakeholders to integrate road projects into overall infrastructure plans.
- Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment required for road construction projects.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations governing road construction.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks and challenges associated with road projects.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the durability and longevity of constructed roads.
- Community Engagement: Communicate with local communities and address concerns related to road construction projects, fostering positive relationships.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, reports, and progress updates.
- Innovation: Explore and implement innovative technologies and construction methods to enhance efficiency and sustainability in road projects.
- Minimum Degree qualified – Civil/Structural Engineering (NFQ Level 8).
- 3+ years post-graduate experience.
- Relevant industry experience is essential.
- Strong technical and design ability essential.
- Full driver’s licence required.
