Key Engineering Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to lead the development of new products and manage technical risk across projects.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the R&D lifecycle management activities for our neurovascular portfolio of products. This includes cross-project ownership of sustaining design and development, working with design engineers to identify solutions to meet product performance requirements while leveraging existing capabilities to meet cost targets.

Additionally, the Principal Engineer will provide technical leadership and take ownership of critical technical tasks in the execution of product development projects. They will also identify and manage technical risk across projects, in partnership with project leads, develop test capability to evaluate product performance and safety requirements, and identify and support the development of processes for new products.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead R&D Lifecycle Management (LCM) activities for our neurovascular portfolio of products.
  • Cross-project ownership of sustaining design and development, working with design engineers to identify solutions to meet product performance requirements while leveraging existing capabilities to meet cost targets.
  • Provide technical leadership and take ownership of critical technical tasks in the execution of product development projects.
  • Identify and manage technical risk across projects, in partnership with project leads.
  • Develop test capability to evaluate product performance and safety requirements.
  • Identify and support the development of processes for new products.
Requirements:
  • Strong technical leadership capability in the development of new products, with an expert understanding of disease states and the ability to generate creative product solutions to address unmet needs.
  • Excellent technical problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong metals and catheter design, development, and technical skills based on fundamental engineering principles.
  • Specific experience with Medical Devices, cardiovascular, or neurovascular implants or instruments.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
