Job Description

As a Civil Construction Site Manager, you will oversee the construction of civil projects from start to finish.

Key responsibilities include overseeing each phase of a project to completion, ensuring site safety, and managing underground services.

Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting any unsafe situations observed on-site, maintaining accurate records of underground services, and independently checking design calculations and temporary works certificates.

Experience with company HSQE management systems, current statutory requirements, and Form of Contract is also necessary.

Furthermore, knowledge of program implications and costs associated with overruns is required.

Responsibilities also include setting out, levelling and surveying the site in accordance with Drawings and Specification, preparing labour, plant & material returns, and preparing as-built drawings and technical reports.

Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, site supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and workforce involved in the project, day-to-day management of the site, planning work efficiently organising plant and site facilities to meet programme deadlines.

Compliance with all safety requirements, resolving technical issues with employer's representatives, suppliers, subcontractors and statutory authorities, quality control in accordance with company procedures, method statements, quality plans and inspection and test plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree/Diploma-qualified in Civil Engineering or Geo-surveying
  • A member of the relevant Professional Institution
  • Relevant civil construction experience and performance on similar projects
  • Minimum 2+ years experience
