We are seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant in Kilkenny. The successful candidate will have experience in switchboard and reception duties, as well as general administrative tasks.


Job Details:
The position is full-time, 35 hours per week, shift-based with 24/7 availability. It is a temporary month-to-month contract with a pay scale of €16.32-€25.71 depending on previous relative public sector experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the switchboard, direct calls, and take messages.
  • Greet and assist visitors at the reception area.
  • Handle general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Manage and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment.
  • Support other staff with clerical tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in switchboard and reception duties.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Availability:
Must work a rotating shift schedule, including nights and weekends. Must be available to start immediately following a successful pre-employment assessment.
