Senior Technical Lead Role

The role of Senior Technical Lead is pivotal in driving the advancement of energy-efficient technologies for building materials. This position involves overseeing the Engineering Department to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational requirements.

The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers, supervisors, professionals, and tradesmen in delivering exceptional plant performance.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement work streams in safety, environmental, and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance Oversight: Ensuring short- and long-term quality of assets through effective maintenance work planning and execution.
  • Talent Management: Actively participating in recruitment, talent identification, and development within the department to maintain a motivated team.
  • Project Management: Managing maintenance-related projects and planning annual shutdowns to optimize plant performance.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Preparing annual maintenance budgets and reviewing costs to ensure efficient resource allocation.

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:

  • At least 7 years' experience in a similar role or environment.
  • A qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven technical skills and strong commercial acumen.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinking with vision and drive.
  • A history of contributing to overall performance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
