Job Title: Building Materials Sales Professional

This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your sales career with a leading brand and build strong relationships with key customers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain long-lasting connections with clients and partners.
  • Promote building materials through regular customer visits, communications, and collaboration.
  • Upsell additional brands and services such as hire equipment and plumbing supplies.
  • Prepare client quotations and account plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Ensure timely payment from clients and manage debt collection efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to maximize commercial opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of visits and client interactions.
  • Handle product or service claims in line with company guidelines.
  • Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in building materials sales or B2B sales in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building materials; plumbing product knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with builders, contractors, and specifiers.
  • A third-level qualification in construction or business is highly recommended.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Commercial awareness and analytical thinking.
  • Proficiency in IT and data handling.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Cork with a 39-hour work week (Monday to Friday).
